Choir

Choir members lead the congregation in song. St. Augustine said, “He who sings, prays twice.” The music director develops the choir to sing at weekend Masses, Holy Days, Weddings, Funerals, and other special ceremonies.

Choir membership is open to parishioners who are willing and able to sing at Liturgies and special occasions.

Choir Members receive vocal music, theory, and scriptural education at rehearsals. No prior experience is required.

Instrumentalists

The Instrumentalists enhance the Liturgy at weekend Masses with and without the choir. Various opportunities exist for acoustic instrumental music. Frequently choir anthems and Liturgical responses call for instrumental supplements. Of particular interest to the Parish Music program are woodwinds, strings, brass, harp, and acoustic guitar.

Instrumentalists should have proficiency and training in their instruments. They should have the ability to sight-read simple passages.
