integral part of the solemn liturgy.  Liturgical worship is given a more noble form when the divine offices are
celebrated solemnly in song, with the assistance of sacred ministers and the active participation of the

Commission: The Music Ministry provides music that enhances the spoken word for the Liturgy. Music at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish provides a solid foundation in the faith formation of those who gather for worship on a weekly basis throughout the Liturgical Year.

Function: The Music Ministry develops choirs and provides music for Weekend Liturgies, Holy Days, Special Sacramental Liturgies, Weddings and Funerals, and other special ceremonies.

Candidate: Membership is open to parishioners who are willing and able to sing at Liturgies and special occasions. 

Meetings: Scheduled as needed.

Training/Preparation: Choir Members receive vocal music, theory, and scriptural education at rehearsals. No prior experience is required. Background checks and Safe Environment Training are required of helpers for the Children’s Choir and the Director of Music.
