Commission: This volunteer becomes familiar with the daily functions of the parish office and its various departments. Assist the Parish Coordinator with the smooth operations of the office by performing duties such as coordinating meetings, sending emails, arranging for office supplies, and providing general support to the rest of the staff as directed by Parish Coordinator.
Function: Knowledge of communication system’s operations and protocols. Compliance with practices that ensures the security and privacy of all forms of protected personal information (PPI). As directed by Parish Coordinator, assist with securing and filing records of SEP compliance, Sacramental records, Parish Department and Ministry Minutes. Attentive to the general condition of the environment and mindful of the impact of orderly and clean surroundings.
Candidate: The Office Volunteer is expected to adhere to the teachings of the Catholic Church. An effective ministry must reflect an attitude of welcome, a love for Christ and His Church, and a commitment to the well-being of every person, including those who serve the Church. Knowledge of basic office practices and computer skills is desired.
Meetings: Ongoing collaboration with Parish Coordinator, Pastor and parish staff and membership.
Training & Preparation: Mentoring by Parish Coordinatory, Parish Secretary. Review policy and procedure documents.
